Peoria Promise allowed me the ability to start my academic career, and explore topics and courses that would be useful for my future. I always felt supported in pursuing my dreams with Peoria Promise. Now, I have a Master’s degree, am finishing my second Master’s, and am beginning the process of applying for doctoral programs. I work as the Assistant Director of the Illinois Higher Education Center, and have a strong passion for diversity and inclusion in higher education. I know for a fact, I would not be where I am today if I had not been a Peoria Promise recipient.

We’re thrilled with Peoria Promise. We live in the city of Peoria and have homeschooled our kids. The program does exactly what it says it does; it covers a portion of Illinois Central College for qualifying students. As long as you live in the City of Peoria, you qualify. At the time of this writing, they will reimburse up to 75% of costs.

Peoria Promise is a great program and helped my son with tuition reimbursement to attend college and work towards his goal of being an electrian.
